Liesel Kipp is Executive Vice President, Global Product, for Warner Bros. Discovery’s unified streaming platform HBO Max, now available in more than 125 markets globally.
 

In this role, she leads core product experience & platforms for the HBO Max streaming experience, shaping how the product drives engagement, retention, and long-term value across more than 110 countries. Her scope spans the full customer journey—from discovery and personalization to the viewing experience—ensuring the product operates as a cohesive system rather than a set of disconnected features.

Liesel's focus is on building integrated product systems that bring together content, editorial merchandising, machine learning, and user experience to deliver relevant, high-quality experiences at scale. This includes designing platforms that adapt across diverse markets, balance global consistency with local relevance, and continuously improve through data and experimentation.

She oversees the development of a unified client platform and product ecosystem that enables speed, consistency, and leverage across WBD's streaming products, while also leading strategy for personalization and experimentation as core drivers of product performance.


In this role she partners closely across content, data, engineering, and business functions to ensure product is a central driver of  strategy and outcomes. Kipp also leads a global organization across product management and merchandising, with a focus on building strong leaders, scaling organizational capability, and delivering sustained product excellence.


Prior to this role, Kipp served as Senior Vice President of Product and Design for
discovery+ and TV Everywhere, playing a critical role in accelerating product expansion
to more than 14 markets across EMEA, Canada, Philippines, and Brazil since 2021. Kipp
was responsible for the core customer experience and roadmap for discovery+ globally across all device platforms.

Before joining Warner Bros. Discovery, Kipp also held positions at Scripps Networks
Interactive, WSJ Digital Network, Thomson Reuters, Unilever, Miavita, StarMedia and BBN Technologies.
Kipp holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the State University of New York, College at Oswego. She was named one of the Top Women in Digital by Cynopsis in 2017 and 2018, and received a Webby Award in 2020 for her work on creating and launching FoodNetwork Kitchen, a subscription product, which helped aspiring cooks build confidence in the kitchen through live interactive cooking classes, video-on-demand cooking classes,
personalized meal planning, ingredient search, and a vast library of recipes.
